7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies to provide you with a better and more personalized service. Below, we explain which cookies we use, how we use them, and for what purposes.

What are cookies, and what do we use them for?

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on the hard drive of your device (such as a computer, laptop, or smartphone) and read by your browser. Nearly all websites today use various cookies to ensure that websites function as intended and that their design and features are displayed optimally for you. For example, cookies store your individual settings (such as login and language) and send them back to our website or another website when you access the site from the same device. To provide you with a better overview of the cookies we use, we have categorized them below according to their function and purpose:

Essential cookies allow you to navigate our website and use its basic features. We generally set these cookies only in response to an action you have requested (e.g., when you log in to a secure area of our website). These cookies are therefore essential for using our website.

We use functional cookies to recognize you when you return to our site and to offer you better and more personalized features. Our functional cookies collect only anonymous information and are not capable of tracking your activity or behavior on other websites.

Analytics and performance cookies allow us to measure how many visitors our website has and how it is used (e.g., which pages are viewed most frequently or whether error messages appear on certain pages). This helps us understand and analyze how our website is used so that we can ensure our visitors can quickly and easily find what they are looking for.

Marketing and targeting cookies collect information about your visit to our website, including which pages you visited and which links you clicked on. We use this information to show you advertisements that are relevant and interesting to you. We also use this information to limit the number of advertisements shown to you and to track the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. We may also share this information with third parties (e.g., advertisers) for the same purposes.

Third-party cookies. Schulz Hotels uses third-party services to better understand how you use our website and to show you relevant ads on other websites. These third parties (such as advertising networks and providers of external services like web traffic analysis) may use their own cookies. We obviously have no control over these cookies.

Google Analytics. Our website also uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, “Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies that are stored on your device and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information collected for this purpose via the cookies is generally transmitted to a Google server in the United States and stored there. In the process, the IP address transmitted by your web browser is anonymized by truncation and is not associated with any other data (Google Analytics has been extended on this website with the code “gat._anonymizelp()” to ensure anonymized collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking), i.e., the IP anonymization function in Google Analytics sets the last octet of IPv4 user IP addresses and the last 80 bits of IPv6 addresses to zero in memory shortly after they are sent to Google for collection; the full IP address is therefore never written to the hard drive).

Google uses the information transmitted by the cookie on our behalf to analyze the use of our website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide us with other services related to website and internet usage. We do not use the data collected via Google Analytics to personally identify visitors to this website, nor do we combine it with any other personal data.

For more information, visit: https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/partners/.
