History, culture and life meet here in a unique way. Schulz Hotel is the place to stay whether you’re looking forward to a sporting activity, cultural event, study tour, language course or a business trip. The hotel’s Wall Garden, our street food canteen and appealing, personal guest rooms welcome you to experience our hospitality and enjoy Berlin – solo or as part of a group.

Single or double room in Berlin

Our economical single and double rooms in Berlin provide a quiet haven you can retreat to. Find restful sleep here and recharge your batteries – all our single and double rooms feature soundproof windows, Smart TVs and comfortable beds. Travelers on a business trip to Berlin will be happy about the good connection to the city’s public transportation system (underground and long-distance trains) of our business hotel. Conveniently reach the trade fair, city-center or the airports. An underground car park is also available for hotel guests to ensure a smooth and stress-free business trip to Berlin.

Are you planning a short trip to Berlin? A short twosome getaway? A city break in Berlin? You will find plenty of privacy in our double rooms. But in no time at all, by underground train or bicycle, you can get to all the hip neighborhoods of Friedrichshain, Kreuzberg or to Berlin-Mitte’s famous Alexanderplatz. Solo travelers will find a friendly, welcoming atmosphere at Schulz Hotel. We don’t work with single occupancy surcharges, so if you are travelling on a budget in Berlin, there is enough left to indulge in clubs, museums and downtown boutiques.

A full-service hotel with lots of comfort at a low price. In fact, our single rooms offer a good alternative to staying at a youth hostel in Berlin. Are you planning an extended stay? Our furnished single rooms in the middle of Berlin let you connect more easily to others travelers than staying at a boardinghouse.  Use our guest kitchen to prepare a meal for yourself and meet other travelers while you’re at it.

Exciting - Exploring trendy neighbourhoods

By day and by night you can feel life pulsating all around you in Berlin’s popular districts of Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg. Any number of attractions and the city’s legendary nightlife are just waiting to be discovered by you – regardless of whether you’re part of a group, part of a twosome or undertaking a solo city break.

Our reception desk team can supply you with great tips and ideas; they will also make reservations for you and help plan an itinerary. Borrow a bicycle to explore the surrounding area; discover streetart and cafés at your leisure. Look forward to shopping at Alexanderplatz or a visit to the mecca of techno disciples – the world-renowned Club Berghain. Berlin’s ultra-cool club scene is in immediate proximity to the hotel at East Side Gallery. Party directly on the banks of the Spree River or in one of the Berlin’s techno bunkers. What’s best of all: Our reception desk is staffed around the clock and our doors are always open to guests. You decide when you come home at night.

Vibrant - Backpacking in Berlin

Are you backpacking through Berlin? Schulz offers inexpensive rates for multi-bed rooms – and you still get to enjoy our full service.   Meet globetrotters from all over the world at Schulz Hotel and discover Berlin’s trendiest neighborhoods Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg. At Schulz Hotel you won’t find a mass dormitory with squeaky bunk beds. Our multi-bed dorms for your backpacking trip to Berlin host a maximum of four: Even when traveling to Berlin on a budget you will get superior comfort and the same room facilities that you’d find in our family rooms or single rooms. Your comfortable en-suite bathroom with shower comes with a hair dryer and WC and is used only by the four room occupants. Our multi-bed dorms have lockers and monitored luggage rooms are also available to ensure your belongings are safe.

In case you long for some extra privacy after scouting out Berlin as a backpacker, we have a solution for that too: Our mini-dorm. It is set-up for a maximum of three guests and offers wonderful tranquility, rest and recuperation. For young women we have a female dorm. Here young women can stay amongst themselves as they plot the global feminist revolution – from a lovely space right in the middle of Berlin.

You decide what’s in your Berlin backpacking budget. Breakfast-to-go can be had for as little as 1.50 euro. The nearby supermarket at Ostbahnhof train station – open every day of the week till midnight – is reached within 3 minutes. Cook your favorite dish in our guest kitchen and meet other backpackers on a Berlin trip while you’re at it. The hotel bar is another great spot for meeting other guests, sharing your travel experiences and swapping ideas and recommendations.

Relaxed - Group travel to Berlin

Are you planning group travel to Berlin? Schulz offers economical group tour accommodations and the perfect parameters for a successful holiday excursion with friends, colleagues or kids. Spend the night in a multi-bed room (with an en suite bathroom) that hosts a maximum of four people. Soundproof windows and climate control in each room ensure excellent rest and recuperation so you can wake up energetic and ready to take on the capital with your youth group, sports team, friends, colleagues or club. Next to our full-service accommodations, you can also expect to find a friendly youth-hotel-like vibe here. Our 100 m² lounge, equipped with a music system and bean bags, is nice for relaxing in the evening hours. Printers and work spaces are available in the library.

Whether it’s a company excursion or a study tour, a group trip to Berlin goes hand in hand with its own particular requirements. Schulz lets you draw up a customized itinerary without leaving you to your own devices: Our reception is staffed around the clock; there’s always someone on hand to help organize activities in and around Berlin and Brandenburg. Our group restaurant “The Hungry Bear” will satisfy your hunger. Upon request, we can even accommodate vegan requests and work within our guests’ allergy restrictions. And then it’s time to say: "Berlin, Berlin, we’re traveling to Berlin!"

In 1989, whole Berlin celebrated...

the long desired fall of the Berlin Wall. Schulz employee Katherina recalls how she experienced the historical event live as a student. And in 2019 Berlin is celebrating again: the 30st anniversary of open borders within Germany.

Seen with a child’s eyes

Each and every child can and should paint – but not every child is given access to art via its family. As part of a pilot project, Achim Freyer, the well-known painter and director, hopes to boost the creativity of primary school pupils far outside of a school setting. One of the works of art is now on exhibit in the Schulz Hotel Berlin Wall.

GDR library

Many still know him from his days as an inspector in the popular and long-running TV-show “Tatort”. Today the actor Peter Sodann is busy collecting the dreams and tears of the socialist East – as captured in books from the former East Germany. Anyone interested in browsing them will now find a cross-section of his collection in the Schulz Hotel Berlin Wall library.

Sleepover instead of champagne,

For its hotel opening in August 2018, Schulz Hotels and its partners gave Berlin school classes the opportunity to take a new look at their hometown. About 250 students and teachers from different parts of the city were given a free night, as well as a two-day cultural program. Kristina Fischer, the director of a secondary school in Berlin, was part of it.

Diversity is cool,

Canadians think. We spoke with Klaudiane and Shawn from Montréal about multiculturalism and the impact on the business world. Together with other business students from the HEC Montréal University, the two 25-year-olds are staying at the Schulz Hotel Berlin Wall to get to know Berlin's start-up scene and to better understand the German mentality.
